What you will do

• Direct high-energy live news programming with consistency and accuracy.
• Partner with producers to execute show rundowns, integrating video, graphics, and studio elements.
• Lead technical crews including technical directors, audio, graphics, and camera operators.
• Collaborate on creative show elements such as lighting, camera placement, and set design.
• Operate Sony ELC automation systems for live broadcast production.
• Participate in technical planning and site surveys for field and remote productions.

Requirements

• Must be able to work full-time on-site in New York City.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience directing live television in a major market newsroom.
• Proven ability to manage live control room operations and complex rundowns.
• Familiarity with iNEWS, Vizrt, and broadcast automation systems.
• Deep knowledge of current events and the U.S. political landscape.
• Must be willing to work evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
