What you will do

• Book a wide variety of national and international guests across politics, foreign relations, business, and health.
• Conduct pre-interviews, secure remote interview facilities, and arrange guest transportation.
• Enterprise, conceptualize, and pitch story ideas for broadcasts.
• Coordinate studio logistics for live and taped interviews with technical managers.
• Develop content for digital platforms, social media, and DTC products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in live television, preferably cable news.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Willingness to work in Washington, D.C..
• Proven experience in researching information and tracking down high-profile guests.

• Sound journalistic judgment and political experience.
• Strong writing skills and an extensive professional network (Rolodex).
• Ability to work flexible hours under tight deadline pressure during breaking news.
