TL;DR

Controller (Finance/Manufacturing): Oversee financial oversight and management for a manufacturing facility, including plant accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, planning & analysis, and internal controls with an accent on month-end close, variance investigations, and KPI/forecast reporting. Focus on driving profitability improvements through financial business partnering, standard cost development, product costing, and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP.

Location: Franklin, NH (fully onsite, 5 days a week)

What you will do

• Manage plant accounting, cost accounting, financial planning & analysis, and financial reporting.
• Partner with the Plant Manager to identify and measure ways to improve site profitability.
• Monitor and analyze variances to standard, budget, and prior periods and recommend corrective actions.
• Own annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plan development; maintain accurate standard costs.
• Run month-end close (journal entries, reconciliations, payroll) and deliver month-end reporting and analysis.
• Support product costing/profitability analysis (including make/buy), capital investment analysis, inventory cycle counts, and internal control compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP, company policies).

Requirements

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in a leadership role in finance or accounting at a manufacturing company.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial performance drivers, and internal controls.
• Proven ability to research, organize, and summarize complex data into reports, journal entries, and actionable financial insights.
• Advanced finance business partnering experience using data to drive business decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ERP experience (SAP, PowerBI, Hyperion a plus).
