Senior Corporate Accountant

What you will do

• Apply U.S. GAAP and internal control standards, including SOX compliance, to support accurate corporate accounting and reporting.
• Run monthly close and consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations and foreign currency translation.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and monthly variance analyses for income statement and balance sheet, investigating and resolving reconciling items.
• Own corporate accounting areas (journal entries, supporting schedules, and SOX control evidence) for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Support SEC reporting preparation (financial statement schedules, footnotes, and disclosure control documentation) and assist with quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Assess accounting impacts of lease agreements and support accounting for intercompany transactions, acquisitions/business combinations, and other corporate accounting areas as assigned.

Requirements

• Location: Remote in the US
• At least 3–5 years of accounting experience with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (accounting preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of U.S. GAAP in a professional accounting environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively across organizational levels, including with external auditors and cross-functional partners.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for working with complex, rapidly changing financial data.
• Experience with compliance-minded work and a forward-thinking, adaptable approach to process improvements.

Nice to have

• Big Four public accounting experience.
• CPA license (or equivalent).
• Experience in a public company environment with SOX compliance and external reporting requirements, including SEC filings and quarterly reviews.
• Experience with consolidations, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency translation.
• Exposure to AI-enabled finance/accounting tools (generative AI, automation, advanced analytics) used responsibly to improve close and reconciliation workflows.
