TL;DR

Student Research & Education Coordinator (Research Administration): Facilitating and promoting co-curricular research and experiential learning opportunities for undergraduate students within the Faculty of Medicine with an accent on program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and administrative support. Focus on managing internal award programs, developing research-skills workshops, and maintaining databases to ensure a supportive scholarly environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site at the hirify.global Vancouver Campus (Hybrid: minimum 2 days on-site)

Compensation: $5,365.42 - $7,709.92 CAD Monthly

What you will do

• Manage and coordinate internal student research award programs, including eligibility criteria, adjudication, and budget oversight.
• Advise students, faculty, and staff on research policies, regulations, and scholarly opportunities.
• Develop and deliver research-skills training workshops and educational content for undergraduate students.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including donors, student-led groups, and the hirify.global Medical Journal editorial team.
• Maintain databases of research projects, funding opportunities, and web content to keep the student population informed.
• Supervise student employees and volunteers, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline required.
• Minimum of two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to work on-site at the hirify.global Vancouver Campus at least 2 days per week.
• Proven ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate dialogue between diverse groups.
