• Define technical strategy for merchant-facing experiences with a focus on quality, performance, and AI integration.
• Lead the design and delivery of complex, cross-team projects to improve reliability and responsiveness.
• Champion a quality-first engineering culture by establishing standards, tooling, and processes.
• Drive performance as a product feature, owning the technical approach to speed and responsiveness.
• Innovate on AI-powered merchant UX, prototyping new ways for users to interact with products.
• Build platforms and abstractions that enhance developer productivity across the organization.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US (South San Francisco, New York, or Seattle).
• 10-15+ years of industry experience in a senior technical leadership capacity.
• Deep expertise in modern frontend and full-stack development.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional engineering projects.
• Experience building complex, user-facing web applications at large scale.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical vision to diverse stakeholders.
