What you will do

• Develop performance signals for the hirify.global Driver using statistics, physics, and machine learning.
• Utilize simulation and real-world driving logs to measure and improve driving quality.
• Design methods to connect onboard software changes to simulated outcomes.
• Champion code health and maintainability within a large, complex codebase.
• Analyze data to provide actionable recommendations for metric quality and interpretability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and statisticians.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US.
• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, Statistics, Physics, Math, or a related quantitative field.
• 4-7 years of industry experience navigating and modifying large codebases.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, and SQL.
• Strong experience in statistical analysis and building data processing pipelines.
• Quant/data fluency is a top requirement.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML and A/B experiment infrastructure.
• Experience building and validating metrics for complex systems.
• Exposure to ad-hoc data analysis tools for rapid prototyping.
• Experience working in the autonomous vehicle industry.
