What you will do

• Lead architectural updates to the perception stack to improve scalability, latency, and maintainability.
• Design and own scene detection and activation capabilities to classify operating scenarios at runtime.
• Develop robust perception strategies to handle adverse weather conditions and sensor degradation.
• Integrate large-scale multimodal models, including VLMs and LLMs, to enhance semantic scene understanding.
• Mentor engineers and set the technical bar for high-quality, industrial-grade production code.
• Drive data pipeline development and multimodal data alignment for training foundation models.

Requirements

• 5+ years of industry experience in real-world robot systems.
• Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
• Strong programming proficiency in C, C++, and Python in Linux environments.
• Proven experience in ML/DL development using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Direct experience fine-tuning large-scale multimodal models for real-world perception.
• Demonstrated leadership in making major architectural decisions for autonomy or robotics software stacks.
