Location: Hybrid role based out of Sunnyvale, CA (Bay Area) or Redmond, WA (Seattle Area) with the expectation of at least 2 days in office per week.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year

What you will do

• Leverage and build cloud-based systems to detect targeted attacks at global scale.
• Design and implement next-generation cloud-side detections processing, including endpoint-to-cloud communications and integrations with machine-learning models.
• Build elegant solutions for complex technical problems primarily in Go.
• Collaborate across multiple teams, brainstorm, and deliver feedback with grace and courtesy.
• Apply engineering best practices (testing paradigms, peer code reviews, logging, resilient architecture patterns) to keep code clean and reliable.
• Mentor fellow engineers and take ownership/accountability for deliverables.

Requirements

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status).
• 8+ years of experience building and scaling back-end systems in production.
• Strong computer science foundation (data structures, algorithms, distributed systems).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability challenges.
• Experience/knowledge of Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch/Opensearch, and Redis/Valkey.
• Experience developing and deploying into Linux; prior experience with Go, Scala, Python, Java, C#, or C++.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP, or OCI), especially compute and storage.
• Experience with Apache Flink or similar stream processing systems.
• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Computer and/or network security experience; prior implementation experience with Go and Python.
