What you will do

• Develop performance signals for the autonomous driver using statistics, math, and machine learning.
• Mine real-world driving logs and utilize simulation to measure driving quality.
• Design methods to connect onboard software changes to simulated outcomes.
• Maintain high code health standards within a large, complex codebase.
• Analyze data to provide actionable recommendations for metric improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and data scientists.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Robotics, Statistics, Physics, Math, or a related quantitative field.
• 2-3 years of industry experience in software engineering.
• Proficiency in navigating and modifying large codebases using C++, Python, and SQL.
• Strong background in statistical analysis and building data processing pipelines.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Quant and data fluency is a top requirement.

Nice to have

• Experience coding in C++.
• Experience with machine learning and A/B experiment infrastructure.
• Background in building and validating metrics for complex systems.
• Exposure to ad-hoc data analysis tools for rapid prototyping.
• Previous experience in the autonomous vehicle industry.
