Location: Must be based in New York City (Hybrid)

Salary: $208,000–$349,655/year (OTE: $232,000–$390,000/year)

What you will do

  • Lead the Infrastructure division and provide technical direction for the broader engineering team.
  • Design, build, and operate architecture that powers systems at massive scale.
  • Define critical system visions, gain organizational buy-in, and deliver long-term infrastructure projects.
  • Partner with application teams to evolve the Sidekiq platform and improve developer experience.
  • Own architectural decisions and outcomes across multiple teams.
  • Ensure infrastructure solutions satisfy complex compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in high-scale distributed systems or platform/infrastructure engineering.
  • Deep understanding of system interfaces, boundaries, failure modes, and behaviors.
  • Proven experience leading infrastructure or adjacent teams as a tech lead or manager.
  • Ability to scale leverage through process, collaboration, and software.
  • Must be based in or able to work from New York City in a hybrid capacity.
