Field Technician

TL;DR

Field Technician: Delivering energy efficiency improvements in residential homes through the installation of smart devices and lighting with an accent on customer education and home energy assessments. Focus on managing inventory, performing physical installations, and providing personalized energy-saving guidance to participants across Saskatchewan.

Location: Must be based in Saskatchewan, Canada. This role requires extensive travel (up to 75%), including overnight stays.

What you will do

• Install energy-efficient products including LED lighting, water-saving devices, and smart thermostats in residential homes.
• Educate residents on product usage and energy-saving best practices.
• Conduct basic home energy assessments using mobile applications.
• Provide personalized energy-saving recommendations and generate assessment reports.
• Manage and track inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of installations and program compliance.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Reliable vehicle for frequent provincial travel.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in residential construction, general labour, or handy work.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, and kneeling.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
