Legal Co-Op (Legal)

TL;DR

Legal Co-Op (Legal): Supporting the Corporate Legal Team by assisting with legal research, document preparation, and case management with an accent on employment law, product liability, and general corporate matters. Focus on gaining hands-on experience in an in-house legal environment and contributing to compliance and training initiatives.

Location: Must be based in or able to commute to North Andover, MA (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

Salary: $22–$26 per hour.

What you will do

• Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case precedents to support attorneys.
• Assist in developing and implementing policies to ensure legal compliance and a fair workplace.
• Support the training of employees on legal compliance and employment law matters.
• Assist with general corporate governance and subsidiary organizational tasks.
• Prepare legal documents and manage case-related information.
• Collaborate with various departments, including human resources, to provide legal support.

Requirements

• Must be a current student (sophomore, junior, or senior) pursuing a degree in legal or paralegal studies.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and Practical Law.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality.
