What you will do

• Gather information on newsworthy events and produce fair, accurate news and feature stories.
• Provide on-air news coverage through both in-studio presentations and frequent field shoots.
• Create content for non-linear digital platforms and produce news specials and packages.
• Operate video cameras, recording equipment, and Edius Pro editing systems.
• Develop and maintain a network of contacts to secure exclusive stories and propose daily story ideas.
• Collaborate with producers to execute enterprise news investigations and document acquisition.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Journalism or Communications.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a reporter in a top 50 market.
• Strong Spanish language skills (verbal and written).
• Minimum 1 year of experience shooting with HD cameras and working with video lighting.
• Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license and an excellent driving record.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of iNews, Stratus, Avid, Edius, or Final Cut Pro.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
