What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ion implant fab equipment.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment issues, specifically Axcelis and Varian (Vista) implanters.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret tool performance data and alarms.
• Improve system performance to meet process specifications and increase tool uptime.
• Partner with engineers to support equipment qualifications and process changes.
• Communicate equipment status during daily pass down meetings and provide written documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or military training preferred.
• 3+ years of experience maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Proven troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment and following strict safety protocols.
• Willingness to work compressed workweek, night shift, or on-call support as needed.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Axcelis ion implant systems (e.g., Purion platform).
• Experience with Varian (Vista) implanters or similar legacy implant platforms.
• Familiarity with SPC, fault detection systems (FDC), and equipment automation systems.
• Experience supporting tool installations, upgrades, and qualifications.
