Senior Fullstack Engineer (Django/Python)

Location: Hamburg or Berlin, Germany

Salary: €70,000–€85,000 per year

What you will do

• Design and deploy features for the Seller Center to improve online retail experiences.
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and engineers to develop effective solutions.
• Manage product and order information through the SCAYLE platform.
• Optimize application performance through strategic SQL query improvements.
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical support and troubleshooting.
• Explore AI-supported features to streamline workflows.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Django 5.x, Tailwind, HTMX, or other lightweight JavaScript frameworks, or willingness to learn them.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or equivalent data storage technologies.
• Ability to write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Experience working in an English-speaking environment.
• Fluent German comprehension at C1 level is required; spoken German is a plus.

Nice to have

• Strong Python and Django expertise.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Open-source contributions.
• Experience with greenfield projects or startup environments.
