Location: Vienna, Austria — hybrid, with on-site collaboration and up to 3 remote working days per week
Salary: Starting from €70,000 gross per year, with higher compensation possible depending on skills and experience. The Austrian IT Collective Agreement minimum is €4,611 gross per month, paid 14 times per year.

What you will do
- Own product problems from discovery through production, partnering with Product, UX, Requirements Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success.
- Build, test, ship, monitor, and improve full-stack product features using Python, Django, REST frameworks, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
- Break complex problems into independently releasable vertical slices using trunk-based development, CI/CD, and feature toggles.
- Apply Domain-Driven Design, Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture, and modular monolith patterns, introducing microservices or event-driven approaches when justified.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools thoughtfully while maintaining responsibility for production quality, security, and maintainability.
- Improve engineering practices through TDD, code reviews, observability, documentation, technical decision-making, and technical debt reduction.
Requirements
- Solid professional software engineering experience with strong Python and Django skills.
- Practical experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience owning production software across discovery, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to design reliable RESTful APIs and use automated testing for safe, frequent delivery.
- Pragmatic approach to architecture, APIs, testing, and maintainable solutions.
- Fluent English required; German is a plus.
