Staff Project Engineer (R&D) (Aerospace): Contributing hands-on to the design, analysis, development, testing, and qualification of complex flight and engine control products with an accent on electro-mechanical/electro-hydraulic/mechatronic control systems and aerospace performance modelling. What you will do

• Design, analyze, develop, test, and qualify complex flight and engine control products for military and commercial aircraft.
• Plan and execute R&D project work: define tasks, estimate effort and duration, and provide technical oversight in collaboration with the R&D Projects Manager.
• Build and apply mathematical performance models (e.g., SPICE, Excel, MathCAD, MATLAB/Simulink) and perform FEA.
• Create 3D designs and 2D drawings, and develop assembly techniques and associated tooling.
• Develop qualification test methods and compile analysis/test reports for review and approval.
• Apply aerospace configuration control and quality systems, and present technical details to customers.

Requirements

• Proven competence in aerospace-sector electro-mechanical, electro-hydraulic and/or mechatronic control components/systems.
• Experience with project planning and execution, including task definition, estimation, and technical oversight.
• Hands-on capability with mathematical performance modelling and analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, FEA).
• Ability to produce 3D design and 2D drawings, and knowledge of aerospace materials and machining/fabrication processes.
• Knowledge of qualification test methods, configuration control, and quality systems.
• Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained.
