What you will do

• Plan and engineer aerial and underground fiber optic networks for utility sites.
• Design and optimize point-to-point microwave radio links including path surveys and link budgets.
• Plan telecommunications facilities, including towers, shelters, and site civil work.
• Integrate power and backup systems to ensure continuous operation of critical communications.
• Develop detailed engineering design packages, including construction drawings and bill-of-materials.
• Coordinate project lifecycle activities from scoping through commissioning and network cutovers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in OSP fiber optic network design and/or microwave system engineering.
• Proficiency in GIS software (ESRI ArcGIS or GE Small world) and CAD tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation).
• Familiarity with NESC and NEC standards for utility infrastructure.
• Experience with Cisco, Nokia, and Scinea systems.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
