What you will do

• Lead risk assessment and underwriting for new and existing merchants, including high-risk industries.
• Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) to ensure regulatory and card scheme compliance.
• Make critical approval or rejection decisions for high-impact and escalated risk cases.
• Mentor junior analysts and provide day-to-day guidance on underwriting standards.
• Refine underwriting frameworks, risk policies, and operational processes to strengthen controls.
• Collaborate with business, operations, and compliance teams to provide actionable risk insights.

Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in risk analysis, underwriting, or fraud management within payments, fintech, or banking.
• Must be based in I-City, Shah Alam.
• Strong working knowledge of KYC, KYB, AML/CFT, and Sanctions Screening.
• In-depth understanding of card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard) and regional regulatory frameworks (BNM, MAS, etc.).
• Proven track record in handling complex underwriting decisions and high-risk merchant onboarding.
• Ability to balance business growth with risk exposure in a fast-paced environment.
