Salary: $95,000.00–$120,000.00 annually

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve end-to-end import processes and compliance controls.
• Lead compliance-related projects, corrective actions, and system enhancements; balance daily execution with project leadership and continuous improvement.
• Own day-to-day import compliance activities: entry accuracy, import records, CBP inquiries, and broker performance monitoring.
• Establish and maintain import SOPs, broker instructions, and control mechanisms; ensure complete and accurate import files and audit trails.
• Interpret and apply regulations for classification, valuation, country of origin, admissibility, and trade programs (e.g., Section 232, FTAs, duty-free/defense contract programs).
• Respond to CBP notices and requests for information; support cost-reduction initiatives through compliance-focused import optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (business, supply chain, international trade, logistics, or related field preferred).
• Over 5 years of experience in U.S. import compliance, customs regulations, and government agency requirements.
• Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.
• Strong project management experience with cross-functional leadership; ability to design, document, and implement procedures.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills to interpret regulations, evaluate risks, and recommend compliant solutions.
