What you will do

• Define and communicate the product strategy and roadmap for the group's Data Mesh ecosystem to align with business objectives.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and manage expectations.
• Lead the full product development lifecycle from ideation and design to testing and deployment.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and embed data quality management into the design.
• Establish a value-driven FinOps framework in collaboration with finance and engineering for cost optimization.
• Provide matrix management of delivery teams and coach stakeholders on best practice environments.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on expertise with GCP data and analytics services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, IAM).
• Working knowledge of Databricks and/or Snowflake within federated enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Data Mesh, event-driven patterns, and cloud-native engineering standards.
• Experience delivering regulated, cloud-based data platforms using Agile methodologies.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be based in or be able to work in London on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

• Knowledge or experience within the insurance industry.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence for geographically spread teams.
