What you will do

  • Manage complex production incidents end-to-end: investigation, resolution, root cause analysis, and cross-team coordination.
  • Automate operational tasks and improve incident response efficiency using Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Work with DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, Confluence) and support infrastructure automation with Terraform and OpenShift.
  • Support critical applications with 24/7 rotating on-call coverage and ensure clear handovers.
  • Document processes and mentor junior engineers through knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Senior Application Support Engineer.
  • Proven ability to handle complex production incidents end-to-end, including root cause analysis and cross-team coordination.
  • Strong scripting/automation skills with Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Experience with DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket, Confluence) and exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, and OpenShift.
  • English: B2 fluency required.
  • Availability for a rotating on-call schedule (24/7) for critical applications based in Porto and based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit.
