Senior IT Administrator

TL;DR

Senior IT Administrator: Managing and optimizing IT infrastructure and application support processes with an accent on system transformation and technical problem-solving. Focus on implementing innovative solutions, performing level 3 support, and bridging the gap between business requirements and technical execution.

Location: Must be based in Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid: 2 days/week in office, with increased on-site presence required during the first 3 months).

What you will do

• Gather technical requirements and manage system enhancements and updates.
• Perform level 3 support and analysis to resolve complex technical issues.
• Manage and deploy services on Linux and Windows Servers.
• Develop automation scripts using Shell, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure project deadlines are met.
• Maintain documentation for technical processes and known issues.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in IT administration or related roles.
• English: Mastery (written and spoken) required.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP/S protocols.
• Understanding of system architectures including SSO, Firewalls, load balancers, and storage.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Must be based in Lisbon for hybrid work model.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Italian.
• Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and GIT/Bitbucket.
• Knowledge of Application Servers like WebSphere, Tomcat, or JBoss.
• Experience with job schedulers such as CA Workload Automation or Control-M.
