Location: London or York – Hybrid (minimum 2 days in the office)

What you will do
- Lead global recoveries and salvage operations, partnering with vendors and business units, and embed governance frameworks.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize claim recoveries and minimize leakage.
- Oversee recovery efforts, including pursuing and monitoring overpayments, and optimize outcomes with vendors and subrogation specialists.
- Drive innovation using technology, AI, and advanced analytics to enhance recovery processes and operational efficiency.
- Deliver recovery-rate and efficiency KPIs, reporting performance and strategic progress to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Support and develop teams through coaching, training programmes, and clear objectives; ensure recovery processes are maintained and adhered to globally.
Requirements
- 10+ years of global experience in claims subrogation and salvage, including leadership experience (fewer years considered with the right knowledge).
- Strong knowledge of insurance laws, regulations, and commercial lines products across all geographies.
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver through others.
- Exceptional global communication and stakeholder management skills with intercultural competence.
- Experience with recoveries monitoring systems (in-house or vendor) and ability to transform and/or implement them across an organization and third-party suppliers.
- Strong analytical skills using data and insights to drive decisions; resilience and adaptability to lead through change.
