What you will do

• Design, develop, and test hardware prototypes for quantum, optical, and photonic systems.
• Plan and conduct hardware projects or project phases independently.
• Apply advanced research techniques and quantitative analysis to diagnose malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Develop software routines for laboratory experiments, data collection, and reduction.
• Provide technical consultation and leadership to team members.
• Contribute to technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Optics (PhD preferred).
• 3-7 years of relevant experience in Physics Engineering.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
• Proficiency in programming for laboratory automation and data analysis.
• Strong technical writing and oral presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a collaborative environment.
