What you will do

• Lead and coordinate catastrophe research activities and specific research projects.
• Implement the hirify.global View of Risk and validate catastrophe vendor models.
• Collaborate with reinsurance underwriting, exposure management, and capital partners teams.
• Articulate catastrophe management strategies to brokers, cedants, and investors.
• Provide thought leadership on natural catastrophes and climate change impacts.
• Represent the business unit at internal risk committees and industry events.

Requirements

• PhD or Masters degree in a related scientific field.
• Strong technical proficiency in R, Python, and SQL.
• In-depth knowledge of catastrophe reinsurance, ILS, and vendor models.
• Expertise in catastrophe modelling and exposure management.
• Excellent communication skills for both expert and non-expert audiences.
• Ability to lead research projects and influence business stakeholders.
