What you will do

• Monitor and manage intraday risk for IG’s equity products within approved limits, including oversight of automated hedging and execution of manual hedges with external liquidity providers.
• Ensure best execution and fair outcomes for client orders in line with IG’s Order Execution Policy; act as the first point of response for client disputes.
• Contribute to development and testing of trading tools, pricing models, and automated execution systems with quantitative and technology teams.
• Handle operational incidents as a front-line point of contact, diagnose and escalate system/dealer errors, and support client communication and dispute resolution.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dealing systems, procedures, and relevant regulation; ensure new policies are understood and applied.
• Support ad-hoc initiatives such as new product launches, market expansion, liquidity provider onboarding, prime brokerage relationships, and regulatory change.

Requirements

• Prior experience in an equity trading, broking, or market-making environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/analytical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with a demonstrable interest in financial markets.
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset; ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and geographies.
• Willingness to work shift patterns, including early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends.
