What you will do

• Attend underwriting meetings with brokers and prospective/existing clients.
• Underwrite global excess casualty submissions and make underwriting decisions within guidelines and authority.
• Analyze coverage and contract language using industry-accepted policy forms.
• Negotiate acceptable premiums, terms, and conditions; grow and expand the existing portfolio.
• Ensure timely and correct issuance of policy documentation.
• Develop and mentor other underwriters and support cross-sell and new product development where applicable.

Requirements

• Previous casualty underwriting experience across various industry risk classes.
• Experience with industry-accepted policy forms, including Claims Made and Occurrence/Occurrence Reported (Bermuda) forms.
• Experience with budgetary accountability and compiling reports for management.
• Ability to make underwriting decisions in line with underwriting guidelines and authority.
