TL;DR

Career Educator (Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Program): Supporting hirify.global students, particularly within the Beyond Tomorrow Scholars Program, to become career-ready graduates by connecting their talents and education to the world of work. Focus on designing identity-informed career learning experiences, fostering mentorship opportunities, and collaborating with campus and industry partners to advance the educational aspirations of Black students and other marginalized communities.

Location: Must be based in Vancouver, BC, Canada (hirify.global Vancouver Campus).

Compensation: $6,747.50 - $9,701.42 CAD Monthly.

What you will do

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate in-person and online career programs tailored to specialized student populations.
  • Provide one-on-one career coaching and group-based learning on professional development topics.
  • Lead and oversee peer mentorship programming, including recruitment and training of mentors.
  • Build and maintain relationships with alumni, employers, and community partners to expand networking opportunities.
  • Embed career learning into experiential and co-curricular activities across various faculties.
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and contribute to strategic planning.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of related experience in career education, student affairs, or human resources.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Black people, organizations, and communities.
  • Strong commitment to advancing the educational aspirations of students from systemically marginalized communities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Nice to have

  • Graduate degree.
  • Certified Coach credential.
  • Experience in a post-secondary environment.
  • Certification in StrengthsFinder or other human capital assessment tools.
