What you will do

• Provide technical leadership across the storage services group for block, file, parallel, and object storage.
• Lead the design of scalable, resilient, and high-performance storage solutions aligned with platform architecture.
• Influence the engineering roadmap by identifying technical risks, scalability constraints, and operational weaknesses.
• Partner with platform, infrastructure, and product teams to ensure effective storage integration.
• Mentor engineers and establish technical standards to improve service reliability, observability, and performance.
• Conduct technical investigations and proof-of-concepts for new storage capabilities and platform enhancements.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• Proven experience in a senior technical role within storage, cloud infrastructure, or distributed systems.
• Deep expertise in modern storage architectures including block, file, parallel, and object storage.
• Strong track record of leading technical direction in complex environments without formal people management.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems principles such as performance, availability, consistency, and scalability.
• Hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale, production-grade infrastructure services.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to evaluate trade-offs across architecture, operations, and cost.

Nice to have

• Experience in AI, HPC, data-intensive, or performance-sensitive environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
