Staff Storage Engineer (AI)

Salary: $207,000–$303,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus and equity awards

What you will do

• Design and implement a highly scalable, multi-tenant control plane for AI storage and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop exabyte-scale S3-compatible object storage and distributed filesystem capabilities.
• Integrate dedicated storage clusters into diverse customer environments.
• Optimize storage performance using RDMA, GPU Direct Storage, RoCE, InfiniBand, SPDK, and distributed filesystem technologies.
• Improve reliability, durability, observability, latency, and resilience through telemetry, metrics, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with platform, product, infrastructure, and operations teams, while mentoring other engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in storage systems engineering or infrastructure.
• Production experience with object storage or distributed filesystems.
• Experience with storage protocols such as S3 or NFS and filesystems such as Ceph or DAOS.
• Proficiency in Go, C++, Rust, or another systems programming language.
• Knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, scalable system architecture, storage observability, telemetry pipelines, and distributed-system debugging.
