Global Mobility Lead

Location: San Mateo, California, United States. Office-based roles are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday.

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert on global immigration laws and manage work permit, visa, and residency applications.
• Coordinate complex immigration cases with external legal counsel and identify eligibility, compliance, and regulatory risks.
• Manage immigration, relocation, and tax service providers while collaborating with HR, Legal, Finance, and Payroll.
• Interpret global mobility policies and advise employees, managers, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain mobility data in HRIS and global mobility systems, generate reports, and analyze program effectiveness.
• Support employees and their families while developing policies and using AI / Automation to improve program efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive global mobility experience, including complex corporate immigration programs across multiple countries.
• Practical knowledge of global immigration laws, work permits, visa types, permanent residency, compensation methodologies, tax equalization or protection, and international relocation logistics.
• Experience with Workday, GreenHouse, Jira, and other HR or mobility systems.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, stakeholder management, and ownership skills.
• For US-based roles, certain US visa-related work authorizations may not be supported, and future H-1B sponsorship may not be available.

Nice to have

• Experience at a multinational corporation or global mobility and immigration consulting firm.
• Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) or Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) certification from Worldwide ERC.
