What you will do

• Lead RTL-to-GDSII implementation for multiple SoC programs, overseeing synthesis, floorplanning, power grid design, and timing closure.
• Define and shape the long-term vision for physical design capabilities and infrastructure.
• Provide strategic technical direction to physical design teams to ensure timely tapeouts of complex SoCs.
• Mentor engineering talent and oversee team structure, hiring, and performance management.
• Collaborate with design teams and EDA vendors to deploy next-generation tools and automation flows.
• Represent the physical design function in executive-level discussions regarding product strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in back-end physical design and verification.
• Proven track record of leading and scaling physical design teams for complex SoC projects.
• Deep expertise in hierarchical physical design strategies and advanced process node challenges.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using Tcl, Python, or Perl.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws (EAR).
