Analyst (TV and Consumer Electronics Data): Support TV and consumer electronics research by producing quarterly market intelligence deliverables and building comprehensive market models with an accent on end-to-end data lifecycle ownership, advanced triangulation methodologies, and data modeling/production for client requirements. Focus on ensuring on-time, accurate research outputs while managing escalations and staying current with emerging data acquisition and analysis methods.

What you will do

• Own Omdia’s Global TV set and Consumer Electronics research services, including quarterly vendor sell-in shipment performance reports.
• Combine primary research with secondary data to create comprehensive market models with global TV analysts.
• Improve country-level data accuracy using advanced methodologies and strategic triangulation to fill data gaps.
• Manage the end-to-end data lifecycle for TV set data deliverables, including terminology and TV data process ownership.
• Produce data deliverables and translate client business requirements into report and deliverable structures (including model documentation).
• Handle issue escalations, anticipate risks, and maintain quality and accuracy of the research process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, commerce, and/or data science (master’s preferred).
• 4+ years of experience in data science, data modeling, and analysis, including data cleaning, data visualization, and data translation.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerQuery.
• Highly proficient in Python and libraries such as pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Beautiful Soup, pysftp, and pyodbc; working knowledge of Parquet, JSON, and CSV.
• Basic knowledge of AWS S3, Lambda, and Athena (ability to make minor code changes if needed).
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills; attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
