Project Manager (Capital Markets)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office and regular onsite work at client locations

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end system implementations and upgrades for major clients across the APAC region.
• Create and maintain project plans, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Align requirements with clients and internal stakeholders across time zones, resolve issues, and deliver quality solutions.
• Manage project profitability across time-and-materials, fixed-price, and hybrid engagement models.
• Mentor and develop project teams throughout all project phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of project management experience delivering capital markets solutions in onsite/offshore models.
• Experience managing client relationships and cross-functional, multi-location teams in complex matrixed environments.
• Proficiency in project management frameworks and delivery management tools, including Agile methodologies.
• Japanese citizenship or permanent residency in Japan, with full working rights, is required.

Nice to have

• Project Management certification such as PMP, Agile, or equivalent.
• Experience implementing front- or back-office systems for banks, hedge funds, or asset managers.
• Background in business or systems analysis and solution design within capital markets.
