Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) provides trade execution, clearing, custody, and back-office support services for Canadian brokerage firms.

What you will do

• Process incoming and outgoing funds, including margin call and collateral cash requirements, Type 4 and netting requirements, and new issue closing deals.
• Handle General Ledger duties for the banking department: bank/control account reconciliations, deposits, and electronic payments.
• Create and maintain wire templates; book daily bank transactions (EFT credits/debits, deposits, incoming/outgoing payments).
• Perform daily/monthly reconciliation across Canadian, USD, and FX accounts; resolve unmatched items (including Kyriba rejected transactions) and review stale-dated cheques.
• Maintain Kyriba GL/budget code mapping; upload positive bank files and conduct payee match exception review; review and upload billing files to the Billing Management System.
• Support audit inquiries and investigate bank statement adjustments; coordinate trade settlement instructions on Bloomberg and resolve payment/receipt queries with brokers, vendors, and internal teams.

Requirements

• Current work authorization for Canada is required.
• 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a banking role.
• Reconciliation experience is required.
• Completion of a 3-year post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail; ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to work with internal departments, vendors, and clients.

Nice to have

• Bloomberg knowledge.
• CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), accounting designation, or equivalent.
