Location: Remote (USA)
Salary: $160,500.00 - $256,500.00 annually (base pay range for certain states)

What you will do
- Define and scale long-term measurement strategy and experimentation frameworks across the shopping funnel (search, discovery, listing engagement, applications, lease conversion).
- Design incrementality and lift testing standards to quantify impact of product changes on renter outcomes.
- Drive consumer behavior and growth insights by integrating experimentation, causal inference, and predictive modeling into a coherent measurement framework.
- Lead and develop data scientists, setting expectations for scope/quality/business impact and coaching technical rigor and executive communication.
- Provide technical direction for production-grade analytics and modeling pipelines, including versioning, monitoring, and governance; reduce technical debt.
- Partner with senior Product, Engineering, and Business Strategy stakeholders to translate insights into product strategy and investment implications.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in the United States (U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 states with limited exceptions).
- 6+ years of experience in data science/applied science/product or consumer analytics, including 2+ years mentoring or directly leading data scientists.
- Direct experience owning experimentation, funnel measurement, or product analytics in a consumer-facing product environment at scale.
- Strong understanding of A/B testing, causal inference, funnel optimization, and consumer behavior modeling.
- Experience with large-scale behavioral, clickstream, or marketplace datasets.
- Deep proficiency in SQL and Python; ability to integrate experimentation, observational causal methods, and predictive modeling into measurement frameworks.
Nice to have
- Experience in rental, real estate, or marketplace platforms.
- Exposure to recommendation systems, search ranking, or personalization analytics.
- Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, Airflow, or dbt.
- Understanding of privacy shifts and their impact on consumer analytics and measurement.
