Senior Analyst, Complex Settlements (Energy)

What you will do

• Prepare accurate and timely invoices and settlements for assigned complex accounts.
• Validate settlement parameters, conditions, account data, charges, payables, and accounting outputs.
• Coordinate with origination, settlements, commercial, Clean Energy, and external counterparty teams.
• Set up incoming assets, power agreements, counterparties, and hirify.global Clean Energy accounts in internal and external payment systems.
• Test and implement market protocol and tariff changes, including agreements without existing settlement processes.
• Automate and improve processes for scalability while maintaining documentation, controls, compliance, and audit support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, MIS, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience with complex power settlements or accounting, preferably in the energy industry.
• Strong understanding of RTO/ISO charge types, calculations, rules, procedures, data flows, and end-to-end energy market processes.
• Experience with energy trading, settlements, scheduling, operations, back-office processes, and energy commodity transactions.
• Ability to interpret complex contracts and translate their requirements into settlement processes, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and close deadlines.
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills; experience with ETRM and Bid-to-Bill systems such as Adapt2 or Allegro.

• Power Query skills.
• Experience integrating new energy agreements into settlement processes.
