Salary: C$62,100 – C$99,300

What you will do

• Review system requirements and functional specifications to ensure project alignment.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for functional-level software testing.
• Create and maintain Python test scripts using existing automation infrastructure.
• Configure lab environments and execute test cases, reporting results via Test Rail.
• Debug and isolate software issues in collaboration with the design team.
• Document test results and generate weekly progress reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Python scripting.
• Familiarity with traffic generators such as Ixia or Spirent Test Centre.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Must be based in Ottawa and able to work onsite at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with Telecom or IP networks.
• Knowledge of Passive Optical Network (PON) technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and a curious, ambitious mindset.
