Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Wakefield, UK (Hybrid: 4 days/week in office)

What you will do

• Prepare and develop design solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Produce technical documentation including reports, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site surveys and develop comprehensive reports based on findings.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project delivery meets programme dates.
• Resolve technical issues and provide design-related support for site and office-based queries.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices within the design team.

Requirements

• Must be a qualified engineer, ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE).
• Demonstrable civil design experience within the UK water sector.
• Strong understanding of water industry standards such as CIWEM and CESWI.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 19650, and ISO 14001 procedures.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role with at least four days per week in the Wakefield office.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in InfoDrainage, AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
• Technical competence in hydraulic design principles and structural element design.
• Knowledge of HazOp/ALM requirements and WIMES standards.
• Experience with BIM workflows and Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
