TL;DR

Principal Release Train Specialist (AI): Leading the execution and continuous improvement of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) for industrial AI software with an accent on SAFe methodology and cross-functional alignment. Focus on facilitating program ceremonies, resolving complex dependencies, and driving delivery excellence across product, engineering, and business teams.

Location: Montreal (Mansfield). Must be based in Montreal.

What you will do

  • Lead and facilitate the execution of Agile Release Trains (ARTs) across multiple teams.
  • Orchestrate key SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, ART Syncs, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
  • Identify and resolve cross-team dependencies, risks, and impediments to ensure continuous value flow.
  • Partner with Product Management and System Architects to align on vision, priorities, and delivery commitments.
  • Mentor Scrum Masters and provide guidance on Lean-Agile principles and practices.
  • Monitor ART-level performance metrics and drive systemic improvement actions.

Requirements

  • French: C1 proficiency required for internal communications and collaboration.
  • English: Proficiency required for international stakeholder management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Agile delivery roles within large-scale software environments.
  • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role such as Release Train Engineer or Program Manager within a SAFe environment.
  • Deep understanding of SAFe, Lean-Agile principles, and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency with Agile delivery tools like Jira Align or Azure DevOps.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), or SAFe Agilist (SA).
