Senior Network Platform Engineer (Cloud Networking)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States. Hybrid workplace model with at least four full days per week in an hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and support cloud network architectures across AWS, Azure, and other public cloud platforms.
• Engineer hybrid connectivity solutions, including VPN, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, and cloud-native routing.
• Develop and maintain network automation using Infrastructure as Code and scripting frameworks.
• Standardize network services, templates, and patterns to improve consistency and repeatability.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud and on-premises network issues, perform root cause analysis, and maintain technical documentation.
• Partner with Cloud, Security, Application, and Operations teams to deliver secure and reliable platform capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of network engineering experience with strong exposure to cloud and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS VPC, Azure VNet, routing, security groups, and network ACLs.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, routing, firewalling, network automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Python and with cross-functional initiatives involving application, cloud, and security teams.
• Strong problem-solving, independent working, communication, and technical documentation skills.
