Legal Counsel (Debt Capital Markets)

Location: Must be based in the US

What you will do

• Support early scoping of financing strategies in partnership with Treasury.
• Advise on legal considerations for US project financing structures.
• Manage the negotiation of transaction documents across financing matters.
• Lead legal due diligence for US projects and coordinate with external counsel.
• Oversee authorizations, board approvals, and lender conditions precedent for drawdowns.
• Handle post-closing lender maintenance, including amendments and waivers.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of relevant legal experience.
• JD and active license in at least one U.S. state bar.
• Experience in market-leading project finance, real estate finance, or asset finance law firm practice.
• Ability to manage end-to-end financing transactions including structuring, diligence, and negotiation.
• Tech-fluent with ability to adopt AI tools for legal execution.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
