What you will do

• Lead mechanical design of cables, ITAs, and custom test fixtures for automated test equipment.
• Develop and release detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation from concept through production.
• Collaborate with systems engineering, program management, and customers to define requirements.
• Build and validate designs through analysis, prototyping, and testing.
• Support product lifecycle activities including sustaining engineering and design improvements.
• Partner with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical design.
• Must be a US Citizen, Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee due to ITAR restrictions.
• Must be local to North Reading, MA; no relocation or visa sponsorship available.
• Strong proficiency with SOLIDWORKS and product data management systems.
• Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and cable/wire harness design standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated test equipment and Virginia Panel Corporation (VPC) interfaces.
• Familiarity with defense/aerospace systems or regulated environments.
• Willingness to travel (~10%) to support customer and manufacturing activities.
