Senior Revenue Accountant II (SaaS Revenue Recognition)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Draper, Utah office, with office attendance four days per week.

Base pay for all other cities and states excluding the listed U.S. markets: $83,600–$131,340 USD annually. The role may also include variable compensation and/or equity.

What you will do

• Own and review complex, non-standard revenue arrangements under ASC 606, including modifications, variable consideration, material rights, multi-party transactions, and marketplace transactions.
• Prepare revenue analyses, journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities.
• Improve revenue accounting policies, processes, systems, and controls through cross-functional initiatives and system enhancements.
• Provide review support and guidance to senior revenue accountants.
• Lead revenue-related audit support, including technical memos, contract analyses, and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Perform procedures supporting compliance with the SOX 404 control framework and participate in ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Industry or public accounting experience focused on SaaS and software revenue recognition.
• Strong technical and operational knowledge of ASC 606 and multiple-element arrangements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to analyze and organize large amounts of data.
• Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Zuora Revenue.
