Senior Accountant (SaaS/Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Own customer and revenue accounting activities, including accounts receivable, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Review customer contracts and non-standard terms with Sales, Finance, and Legal to determine billing and revenue treatment.
• Execute monthly, month-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Partner with FP&A on revenue forecasting and planning.
• Maintain revenue accounting policies, internal controls, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate annual audits and lead process improvements, workflow automation, and finance system implementation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience meeting tight monthly close and financial reporting deadlines.
• Experience with revenue accounting for software or a similar industry, preferably in a SaaS, technology, cybersecurity, or software company.
• Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, initiative, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• A mix of public and private accounting experience.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting customer orders or contracts.
• Experience leading and coaching newer team members.
