Field CTO (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Field CTO (Cybersecurity): Leading strategic engagements and executive briefings for large enterprise organizations in the DACH region with an accent on cybersecurity transformation and platform integration. Focus on advising CIO/CISO-level stakeholders, driving technical strategy for complex opportunities, and evangelizing human-centric security solutions.

Location: Must be based in Germany (Munich preferred) with up to 50% travel across the DACH region.

What you will do

• Engage and build trusted relationships with CxO-level stakeholders to drive cybersecurity transformation.
• Lead executive briefings and represent the company as a speaker at major IT and security events.
• Act as the technical lead for the most complex platform and solution opportunities in the DACH region.
• Provide customer insights to Product Management and Marketing teams to influence future product vision.
• Stay at the cutting edge of the threat landscape and TTPs to advise customers on resilience.
• Mentor and develop EMEA Solution Architects and technical leaders.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of broad IT experience, including vendor, SI, or MSSP background.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a practitioner in a cybersecurity program or as an Enterprise Architect.
• Fluent English and German proficiency required.
• Strong executive presence with proven experience as a speaker for large audiences.
• Deep expertise in threat protection, data protection, cloud security, and identity management.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT or cybersecurity.

Nice to have

• Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, SABSA, or CISSP.
• Proficiency in additional European languages.
