What you will do

• Review and validate import/export documentation to ensure compliance with local and international customs regulations.
• Assign and maintain accurate HS codes and tariff classifications; ensure correct customs duty valuations and country of origin declarations.
• Monitor changes in customs laws and procedures across North America and update internal processes; communicate updates to key stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customs authorities, customs brokers, and third-party providers; support responses to notices and audits with the Global Tax team.
• Lead internal and external audits with third-party providers to identify compliance risks and optimization opportunities.
• Implement and continuously improve customs compliance systems and tools, including automation for HS code assignment, origin tracking, and duty calculations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience in global customs / international trade compliance, preferably in the retail sector.
• Strong knowledge of HS classification, product valuation methods, preferential trade agreements, and duty calculations.
• Degree/qualification/certification in Customs Compliance or International Trade.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally across Finance, Global Tax, and logistics-related stakeholders.
