Salary: $39,200 - $52,100 USD

What you will do

• Manage federal, state, and local transporter permitting and tax filings including IFTA, HUT, and Heavy Vehicle Use Tax.
• Maintain digital records for regulatory items such as spill plans, permits, and tax filings.
• Oversee truck and trailer registration and titling processes.
• Provide administrative assistance and training for the Samsara fleet management system.
• Update fleet asset lists to ensure accuracy for procurement, insurance, and inventory management.
• Communicate compliance updates and internal SOP changes to Transportation and Facility managers.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in Transportation Compliance is required.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Asheboro, NC.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Ability to learn web-based programs quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration with national personnel.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree in logistics, manufacturing, or compliance-related fields.
• Experience with electronic log devices (Samsara), DISA driver qualification, PeopleSoft, or NetSuite.
• Knowledge of Canadian Hours of Service and customs border crossing requirements.
